The aromas open in the glass with notes of blueberry, creme de cassis, leather, cedar, and milk chocolate. The palate is creamy yet structured with flavors of cocoa powder, blackberry, black cherry, peppercorn, and a hint of umami. The tannins display the Rutherford dust character; structured, dusty and well integrated, making this wine lovely now with the ability to cellar well for decades.
